Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse or the Bahrain All Shares Index (BSEX) ended Wednesday’s trading session down 0.56% or 7.52 points, and closed at the level of 1,330.90 points.
The benchmark index was dragged down by the banks sector which fell 0.22% as Ithmaar Holding and Khaleeji Commercial Bank decreased by 3.03% and 2.5% respectively.
The investment sector index also declined 1.62% as Arab Banking Corporation lost 1.59%, while the services sector shed 0.51% on the back of Batelco, which went down 1.52%.
On the other hand, the insurance sector was the only gainer as it added 2.27%.
Traded volumes reached 727,200 shares with a total turnover of BHD 190,600.
By the end of the session, the market capital closed at BHD 8.06 billion.
