Bahrain Bourse closes in green

Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse rose at Wednesday’s close by 0.11% or 1.26 point to the level of 1,145.53 points.

Trading volume decreased to 607,520 shares from 2.05 million shares exchanged Tuesday, turnover also declined to BHD 103,770 from BHD 426,720.

Batelco grew by 3.65%, GFH Group leapt 8.57%, while Al Baraka Group, down 6.38%, was the worst performing stock.

The banks sector dropped 0.62% due to a 1.58% fall in Ahli United Bank, while Ithmaar Bank led the green list after rising by 10.53%.

The insurance sector slid 0.3% as Arab Insurance Group decreased 1.6%.
