Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Bahrain Bourse fell at Sunday’s close by 0.15% or 1.79 point to the level of 1,175.93 points.
Trading volume increased to 1.83 million shares from 801,690 shares exchanged on Thursday, turnover also rose to BHD 387,258 from BHD 263,410.
The services sector dropped 0.6% as Bahrain Cinema topped losers after falling by 3.1% and Batelco retreated 0.72%.
The commercial banks sector shrank 0.17% due to a 0.78% decrease in Ahli United Bank; the stock made the biggest trading activity with a volume of 856,700 shares and a turnover of BHD 545,000. Bahrain Islamic Bank, however, led gainers by adding 4.27%.
The hotels and tourism sector rose 0.52%, backed by a 0.79% increase in Gulf Hotels.
