Bahrain Bourse ends day in red zone

Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) retreated 0.10% or 1.1 points to close at 1,175.70 points on Monday.

Bahrain Islamic index also fell by 0.20% or 1.5 points to reach 758.92 points.

Today’s trading value decreased to about BHD 158,220 as compared to BHD 2.24 million, after trading volume retreated to 1.138 million shares as compared to 6.46 million shares on Sunday.

The market capitalisation fell to BHD 6.968 billion as compared to BHD 6.975 billion.

The Bahraini exchange’s services sector declined 0.38%, as Batelco and Zain fell by 0.64% and 1.2% respectively.

The investment sector also inched 0.14% down as Esterad declined 9.18%.

Al Baraka Banking Group settled at $0.5 after 75,000 shares were traded through five transactions, with a value of about $37,500.
