Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse’s general index inched down 0.4 points, or 0.03%, to 1,434 points in May.
Market capitalisation declined by 24% to BHD 8.891 billion ($23.42 billion) in May, compared to BHD 8.794 billion ($23.164 billion) in April.
The banking sector went down 0.12% over the month, while the industrial sector dropped 5.27%.
On the other hand, the investment sector grew by 0.7% and the services sector rose 2.1%.
Positive week
The Bahrain Bourse increased by 25.03 points, or 1.8%, to 1,408.49 points in a week.
The trading volume reached 16.712 million shares, while liquidity hit BHD 3.501 million.
