Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse declined in August by 1.27% or 14.74 points to the level of 1,142.21 points.
Trading volume decreased to 1.875 million shares from 2.165 million shares exchanged in July, turnover also shrank to BHD 537,227 from BHD 703,206.
The banking sector dropped 2.33% as Khaleeji Commercial Bank and National Bank of Bahrain retreated by 7.92% and 3.47% respectively.
Meanwhile, the investment sector grew 0.75% due to the increase in GFH and Investcorp by 8.70% and 3.47% respectively.
The remaining sectors stood at July’s levels.
