Bahrain Bourse gains 22 pts at close

Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse ended Wednesday’s session rising by 1.75% or 22.41 points to the level of 1,300.34 points.

Trading volume decreased to 6.12 million shares from 7.39 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, while turnover increased to BHD 1.26 million from BHD 1.18 million.

The investment sector levelled up 2.60% due to a rise of 9.5% in GFH Group, the best performing stock.

The commercial banks sector advanced 2.09% as Ithmaar Holding grew 9.1%.

The services sector rose 0.07%, backed by an increase of 1.23% in Milaha and 0.86% in Trafco.

Meanwhile, Seef Properties fell alone by 0.9%

Ahli United Bank made the highest turnover of BHD 1.03 million, while Khaleeji Commercial Bank made the biggest trading volume activity with 2.17 million shares.
