Bahrain Bourse logs 2nd straight weekly rise

Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse recorded its second weekly rise in a row as its main index grew this week by 0.84% or 9.43 points to the level of 1,134.50 points.

Trading volume reached 8.12 million shares exchanged at BHD 2.41 million through 202 transactions.

Out of 19 companies, six shares ended the week in green and six others declined.

Al Salam Bank made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.49 million shares exchanged at BHD 533,506.

The industrial sector was the best performer after adding 3.52% as Alba leapt by 3.7%.

The services sector also advanced by 2.52% and the investment sector levelled up 1.74%.

On the flipside, the banks sector declined 0.34% due to a 2.3% decrease in Ahli United Bank.
