Mubasher: The main index of Bahrain Bourse shed 0.02% or 0.17 points to stand at 1,139.47 points at the end of Tuesday’s session.
The insurance sector decreased 1.23%, on the back of Arab Insurance Group’s (Arig) which fell 7.14%, while the commercial bank sector went down 1.22%, weighted by Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) and Al Salam Bank – Bahrain which lost 6.56% and 1.09%, respectively.
Ithmaar Bank was the most active in terms of traded volume and value, trading 2.54 million shares at a value of BHD 304,790.
On the other hand, the industry sector rose 4.06% and the investment sector went up 1.3%, backed by GFH Financial Group which hiked 9.62%.
Traded volume reached 4.31 million shares, compared to 1,770 shares on Monday. Turnover increased to BHD 398,130 compared to BHD 293,380 yesterday.
