Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse’s main index grew at Wednesday’s close by 0.6% or 6.99 points to the level of 1,168.24 points.
Trading volume increased to 2.56 million shares from 2.29 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to BHD 367,190 from BHD 323,980.
The commercial banks sector advanced 1.1%, backed by a rise of 8.33% in Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, best performing stock, and 0.71% in National Bank of Bahrain.
The industrial sector levelled up 0.61% as Alba increased 0.63%, the services sector leapt 0.26% due to a 0.7% rise in Batelco, while Bahrain Maritime and Mercantile International fell by 0.6%.
