Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) grew 0.16% or 1.94 points to close at 1,227.17 points on Thursday, its second day in green.
BHB’s turnover amounted to nearly BHD 239,576 as trading volume reached about 871,061 shares.
The banks sector topped the gainers by adding 0.59%, backed by National Bank of Bahrain which gained 2.84%.
The services sector rose by 0.10% after Seef Properties levelled up 1.98%.
On the negative front, the hotels and tourism sector led the decliners by losing 1.68%, after Gulf Hotels retreated 2.44%.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector declined 1.06%, after Alba stock dropped 1.10%.
BHB’s market cap stood at BHD 7.25 billion as compared to BHD 7.24 billion on Wednesday.
