Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse rose this week on the back of the investment and hotels sectors, it added 0.5% or 5.95 points and closed at the level of 1,186.21 points.
All the market’s sectors saw a positive performance this week, led by the investment sector which gained 1.44%, followed by hotel and tourism with 1.06%, investment and commercial banks with 0.9% and 0.48% respectively.
On the other hand, the services sector was the only decliner and slipped 1.08%.
The banks sector registered the highest traded value with BHD 711,200 which represents 44.93% of the total turnover, with Al-Ahli United bank dominating 16.23% of this week’s values with BHD 256,860.
Total traded volume declined to 7.83 million shares compared to around 12.96 million shares last week, and traded values also decreased to BHD 1.58 million from BHD 1.82 million.
