Bahrain Bourse sees marginal losses at close

Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse ended Tuesday’s trading session with a marginal decline, as the main index was affected by insurance and banks sectors.

Bahrain All Shares Index (BSEX) slipped 0.03 points and closed at 1,362.68 points.

The banks sector went down by 0.22%, as Khaleeji Commercial Bank and Ahli United Bank lost 0.87% and 0.68% respectively, while the insurance sector index fell by 0.78% as Bahrain National Holding declined 2.38%.

On the other hand, the industrial sector added 0.9%, as Alba rose 0.93%, while the services sector increased by 0.33% as Trafco Group, Nass Corporation, and Bahrain Telecom gained 5.26%, 3.57%, and 0.75% resoectively. Similarly, the investment sector edged up 0.04%.

Traded volumes totalled 3.3 million shares with a total turnover of BHD 941,900, while the market capital amounted to BHD 8.24 billion.
