Bahrain Bourse sees negative performance at close

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s benchmark index declined 0.21% or 2.45 points to close at 1,194.59 points on Sunday, after it hit its lowest level in two years last session.

Today, Bahrain Islamic Bank inched down 0.05% or 0.42 points to 790.24 points.

The services sector led the decliners with a 0.93% loss, dragged by Batelco which fell 1.27%; banks sector followed by losses of 0.31% as NBB retreated by 1.45%.

Meanwhile, the investment sector closed in green with gains worth 0.36%, as Investcorp rose by 3.3%.

Today’s turnover stood at BHD 880,460 as nearly 446,700 shares were exchanged.

Market cap amounted to BHD 7.08 billion as compared to BHD 7.094 billion by the end of Tuesday’s session. The stock market was closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to national holidays.
