Bahrain Bourse stays down for 3rd session

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s benchmark index inched 0.03% or 0.32 points down to close at 1,176.82 points on Sunday, continuing to fall for the third session in a row.

Bahrain Islamic index dropped 0.45% or 3.43 points to reach 760.42 points.

Today’s trading value increased to BHD 2.24 million as trading volume rose to 6.46 million shares.

Meanwhile, the market cap retreated to BHD 6.975 billion from BHD 6.977 billion.

The banks sector fell by 1.4%, dragged down by the losses of AUB which dropped 2.24%.

The investment sector gained 2.56%, backed by the Arab Banking Corporation which rose by 9.6% to top the winners. Also, Al Salam Bank levelled 5.6% up.
