Bahrain Bourse up at mid-session on Al Salam, Batelco

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse benchmark hit the green zone at mid-session on Tuesday, powered by gains from Al Salam Bank and Batelco that outweighed losses by Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK).

At 11:35am, the main index rose by 0.23% or 2.27 points to 1,186.42, reversing yesterday’s downtrend. 

The commercial banks sector advanced 0.13% backed by Al Salam Bank that headed the gainers by adding 4.82%, while services topped the sectors with a 0.95% rise, propelled by Batelco’s 2% increase.

On the negative note, BBK was the only decliner as it lost 1.03%.

Trading volume recorded 1.2 million shares worth BHD146860 and in 28 transactions.
