Mubasher: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on Monday announced that the BHD 70 million issue of the government treasury bills (T.bills) this week has been oversubscribed by 269%.
The T.bills, which have a yield of 3.62%, are issued by the central bank on behalf of the Bahraini government, according to a press release on Monday.
The issue has a 91-day maturity, starting from 10 April, according to the CBB said.
The approximate average price for the new issue was 99.094%, while the lowest accepted price stood at 99.087%.
The total outstanding value of Bahrain’s T-bills amounted to BHD 2.110 billion.
