Mubasher: Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) will launch its new identity and logo on Tuesday, December 31, during the New Year's Eve celebrations by displaying it on the side façade of the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
The launch of the new identity coincides with Manama being named as ‘Capital of Arab Tourism for 2020’ during the 22nd Session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism held in Al Ahsa in Saudi Arabia, according to a recent press release.
The selection was a result of the collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and chairman of BTEA, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, said, commending BTEA’s vital tourism projects that managed to promote Bahrain’s tourism sector while contributing to the national economy.
Moreover, the CEO of BTEA, Nader Khalil Al Moayyed, said, “We are delighted to launch Manama’s new identity during the New Year's celebrations to mark this milestone achievement and look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with an exciting line-up of activities that appeal to citizens and visitors from neighbouring GCC countries.”
It is worthwhile to mention that over the first nine months of 2019, total nights spent by tourists increased by 8.8% year-on-year (YoY) to 10.7 million, while the average length of stay rose by 20.5% to 3.4 nights per tourist.
