Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse index rose for the second day on a row, backed by the rise of banking sector.
Bahrain’s main index closed at 1174.28 points, gaining 1.64 points or 0.14%.
Bahrain Islamic Index grew by 0.26%, or 1.96 points to 754.56 points.
Market capitalisation amounted BHD6.95 billion, after trading volume fell to 396,200 shares, compared to 2.32 million shares.
Trading value declined to BHD152.4 million, compared to BHD261,800 in Wednesday’s session.
The Banking index topped rises today gaining 0.32% to reach level 2341.9 points supported by National Bank of Bahrain rise by 1.52%.
Investment index inched up 0.24% after the rise of GFH Financial Group by 2.7%.
Meanwhile, services index fell by 0.48% pressured by NASS decline by 2.04% and Bahrain Cinema by 5.98%.
