Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse maintained its solid performance to close on a higher note for the fourth consecutive session, pushed by commercial bank and investment sectors.
Bahrain All Share Index recorded the biggest rise in a month, increasing by 1.3% or 15.47 points to 1,187.10 points. In addition, Bahrain Islamic Index ended the session 0.7% higher to 762.18 points.
“This uptrend is mainly ascribed to the positive performance of neighboring and global bourses, along with oil prices’ rise”, said Ibrahim Al Failakawi, analyst.
Commercial bank sector was 2.7% higher at, powered by Ahli United Bank (+4.6%). Investment sector was up 0.24%, backed by GFH (+3.4%)
Khaleeji Commercial Bank was the most active, achieving BHD121,940 through 1.87 million shares traded in 31 transactions.It rose 3.17% to BHD0.065.
