Bahrain bourse rise in mid-session on banks, investment

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse indexes rose in Thursday’s mid-session pushed by banks and investment sectors.

The general index inched up 0.27% or 3.2 points to reach 1717 points at 11:20 am Bahrain time.

Bahrain Islamic Index climbed 1.57%, or 11.88 points to 766.37 points.

The trading volume was 1,200 shares with a value BHD380,900 , while the market capitalisation reached BHD6.75 billion.

The investment sector topped winners with a gain of 0.84% ​​through GFH rise by 6.67% to BHD0.16.

Commercial banking sector index edged up 0.43% after the 1.47% rise of KCB to BHD0.001.

Service sector fell by 0.72%, as Bahrain Duty Free Complex shares lost 4.49% to reach BHD0.008.

Bahrain’s general index ended Wednesday’s trading in red again pressured by banks and services stocks.
