Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s general index rose in the middle of Tuesday’s trading powered by banking stocks.
The benchmark index climbed by 0.25% at 12:15 p.m. Bahrain local time, to reach 1177 points; thus extending the rise to the second day.
Bahrain Islamic Index also rose by 0.57% gaining 4.37 points to 778.26 points.
Al Salam Bank headed gainers by 3.2%, followed by Ahli United Bank by 0.76%, helping the banks sector to rise by 0.54%.
Meanwhile, Bahrain Car Park topped decliners with a drop of 1.82% followed by Khaleeji Commercial Bank by 1.45%.
Trading volume reached 874,000 shares at BHD173,000 in 26 transactions.
