Mubasher: Bahrain's central bank announced late Wednesday raising the interest rate on its overnight deposit facility, its key policy interest rate, to 0.50% from 0.25% with immediate effect.
The bank also raised rate on one-week deposit facility to 0.75% from 0.50%, but kept its repo and lending rates at 2.25%.
The announcement came after the U.S. Federal Reserve raised rates for the first time in nine years.
