Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse ended Tuesday’s session rising by 0.28% or 3.57 points to the level of 1,277.94 points.
Trading volume increased to 7.39 million shares from 4.78 million shares exchanged yesterday, turnover also rose to BHD 1.18 million from BHD 987,360.
The investment sector grew 1.12%, backed by a rise of 9.70% in United Gulf Bank, the top gainer.
The commercial banks sector advanced 0.08% as Ithmaar Holding leapt 7.32%.
Meanwhile, the services sector dropped 0.44% as Batelco and BMMI declined 1.22% and 0.71% respectively.
Ithmaar holding led the trading activity with a volume of 3.73 million shares exchanged at BHD 788,580.
