Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse's general index ended the week in the red, pressured by three main sectors amid lower trading as compared to the week before.
The index shed 0.65% or 7.49 points and closed at 1,156.49 points.
The investment sector lost 1.29% this week, followed by the commercial banking sector with 0.65%, pressured by Bahrain Islamic Bank which slid 9.09%, whereas Ithmaar Bank topped gainers, surging 13.64%.
The services sector added 0.13%, while the hotels and insurance sectors remained stable.
Total trading this week reached 14.690 million shares and securities down from 21.25 million by the end of last week, while total turnover rose to BHD 3.72 million from BHD 2.69 million.
The commercial banking sector accounted for 26.45% of turnover with BHD 983,450, followed by services with 12.17% or 452,530.
