Bahrain index falls in mid-session pressured by Alba, Al-Salam

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s general index saw a slide in Thursday’s mid-session, pressured by Alba, Al Salam Bank, NASS and Ithmar.

Bahrain’s benchmark lost 6 points, or 0.51% at 12:00 p.m. Bahrain local time to 1183.13 points.

Bahrain Islamic Index fell 1.98% or 15.43 points to 762.33 points.

A total of 1.5 million shares were traded at BHD436,700 through 39 transactions.

Industry sector topped decliners, losing 5.03% to 533.87 points affected by Alba decline by 5.23%.

Banks saw also a decrease by 0.24% to reach 2357.56 points pressured by Ithmar and Al Salam Bank that dipped by 4.54% and 1.01% respectively.

Services index fell by 0.21% to 1306.79 points, due to NASS Corporation’s slide by 9.09%.

Meanwhile, Al Barka, AUB, Batelco, and United Gulf Bank shares settled.
