Bahrain index falls in mid-session pressured by Ithmaar

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse’s general index fell collectively in today’s mid-session due to banks sector decline.

Bahrain’s benchmark slid at 11:40 am to 1180.18 points, losing 2.12 points or 0.18%.

Bahrain Islamic index dipped by 0.75%, or 5.68 points to 754.26 points.

A total of 911,990 shares were traded at BHD97,560 through 13 transactions.

The banks sector headed decliners after losing 0.34% or 8.06 points, affected by Ithmaar’s decrease by 9.52% or BHD0.095.

The services sector dropped by 0.07% after NASS and Seef Properties declined by 0.99% and 0.52% respectively.

The investment index fell by 0.02% due to Esterad Investment decline by 1.55%
