Mubasher: Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication plans to merge the state-owned Gulf Air with other firms operating in the Bahrain International Airport (BAH) by creating ‘Gulf Air Holding Company’, a member of Bahrain’s House of Representatives told Al-Watan newspaper.
Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), Bahrain Duty Free, and other companies will be consolidated with Gulf Air to trim losses, Mahmoud Al Bahrani added.
The new holding company is expected to own around 44% stake in BAS.
