Bahrain’s Al Salam Bank swings to losses in Q4-15

Mubasher: Al Salam Bank – Bahrain showed a negative turn in financials for the fourth quarter in 2015 by posting BHD 3.3 million net losses, against BHD 3.4 million ($8.9 million) profits in Q4-14, the bank said in a bourse filing.

The Bahraini bank, which is listed on the Kuwaiti and Dubai bourses, added that its profits dropped 33.3% to reach BHD 10.55 million ($27.77 million) in the fiscal year 2015, down from BHD 15.82 million ($41.65 million) in 2014.

The board has recommended a cash dividend of 5% or 0.005 fils per share, with a total value of BHD 10.7 million.
