The main index of Bahrain Bourse posted its third rise in a row, backed by both banks and investment sectors.
The benchmark index rose by 1.13% or 13.04 points to close at 1,171.63 points on Thursday.
Bahrain Islamic Index grew 0.31% to 756.84 points.
Today’s trading value increased to about BHD 422,850 as trading volume levelled up to 2.4 million shares.
The bourse’s market cap increased to BHD 6.94 billion as compared to BHD 6.867 billion on Wednesday.
The banks sector rose by 2.7%, as AUB grew 4.8%. Also, the investment sector inched up 0.25% as GFH edged 3.6% up.
Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait was the most active stock with liquidity worth about BHD 218,090 after nearly 565,000 shares were traded in six transactions. The stock settled at BHD 0.386.
