Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse (BHB) dropped 0.64% or 7.46 points to close at 1,158 points on Sunday. Also, Bahrain Islamic index fell by 0.93% to approach 761.9 points.
The index suffered its fourth decline in a row, falling to the lowest level since May 2013.
Liquidity stood at about BHD 82,300 as trading volume reached about 510,000 shares traded through 24 transactions.
BHB’s market cap reached BHD 6.864 billion as compared to BHD 6.90 billion in the previous session.
The services sector headed the decliners by 2.25%, as Batelco fell by 4.43%, followed by Seef and Zain which retreated by 1% and 0.56% respectively.
The industrial sector lost 0.54% as Alba inched 0.56% down, also, the banks sector posted the least decline as Ithmaar and NBB fell by 8% and 0.75% respectively.
Ithmaar Bank was the most active stock with a value of about $37,900 after nearly 329,900 shares were distributed on five deals. The stock settled at $0.115.
