Bahrain’s stock market back into green zone

Bahrain Bourse’s benchmark index ended Monday in the green zone, after five successive sessions in red.

The index leveled up 0.56% or 6.6 points to close at 1,199 points. Meanwhile, Bahrain Islamic Index fell by 0.30% to 794 points as compared to 796.4 on Sunday.

Turnover amounted to about BHD 415,900 ($1.069 million), compared to nearly BHD 89,900 ($237,120) on Sunday; trading volume reached 1.090 million shares that were traded through 50 transactions as compared to 1.169 million shares.

Market cap stood at BHD 7.169 billion ($18.735 billion).

The investment sector grew 2.5%, followed by the services and banks sectors which gained 0.36% and 0.06% respectively.

The Arab Banking Corporation recorded the highest trading value of $114,700 as nearly 260,000 shares were traded through 5 transactions. The stock settled at $0.465.
