Mubasher: Bahrain is exerting steady efforts for addressing financial challenges as well as achieving financial sustainability in the interest of its citizens as the country is implementing measures aimed at reducing expenses and increasing revenues, said Information and Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi.
During the press conference following the weekly cabinet meeting, Al-Hammadi said that decisions are taken by the government following profound studies which balance between the reality on the ground and the ambitions to be achieved, according to Bahrain news Agency.
He pointed out the implementation of local mega development projects, previously estimated at around $23 billion.
The minister said that the government has held a series of consultative meetings with the parliament on ways of facing the current financial challenges resulting from the fall in global oil prices, according to the news agency.
