Mubasher: The Bahrain Bourse’s (BHB) benchmark ended today’s session in the green territory, as a buying spree for Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and Al Salam Bank was able to wipeout the losses inflected upon Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait
The main index bounced off the red territory it hit yesterday to close today’s session 0.51% or six points higher to 1,189.65 points.
Bahrain Islamic Index also rose by 2.4% or 18.38 points to 772.15.
Coming in first, Alba grew 6.32% to BHD0.370, leading the industrial sector to top the advancers as it went up 6.08%.
Al Salam Bank also surged by 4.82% to BHD 0.087, pushing the commercial banks sector to rise 0.13%. Yet, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait was the only decliner with a 1.03% decrease.
Meanwhile, GFH, Al Baraka, Arab Banking, Zain, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, Seef properties remained unchanged.
Yesterday, the main index stopped a four-session winning run.
