Bahraini stocks resume losses dragged by banks and services

Mubasher: Bahrain Bourse index ended Wednesday's session in red, to return to losses amid pressures on banks and services stocks.

The general index closed 0.12% lower, shedding 1.4 points to reach 1167.8 points.

Bahrain Islamic index also fell by 0.83% or 6.29 points to reach 754.49 points.

Market capitalisation declined to BHD6.927 billion ($18.37 billion) at the end of today’s session, compared to BHD6.935 billion ($18.5 billion) on Tuesday's session.

The trading value rose to BHD3.67 million ($9.73 million), against BHD320,700 ($850,600).

Trading volumes also rose to 4.23 million shares, compared to 2.6 million shares at the end of Tuesday's trading.
