Riyadh - Mubasher: National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) announced receiving “Amjad,” the first very large crude carrier (VLCC), from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI).
The received VLCC is one of the oil carriers financed by Riyad Bank. The company expects that Amjad would start the commercial operation in March, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The carrier is 333-metres long, 60-metres wide and 29.4-metres high and worth between $85-95 million, Yonhap News Agency reported on Monday.
