Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw losses in Monday’s early trades, dragged down by the fall of three sectors led by the banks.
The main index decreased 0.24% or 26.95 points to reach 11,270.55 points by 10:00am Doha time.
The market was negatively affected by the decline of some blue-chip stocks like Qatar National Bank (QNB), Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) and Ahli Bank which retreated 0.91%, 1.58% and 0.48% respectively.
The banking sector slid 0.45%, while the industrial and transportation sectors decreased 0.33% and 0.22% respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate sector increased 0.16%, while the telecom, consumer goods and insurance sectors advanced 0.58%, 0.03% and 0.01% respectively.
The market saw trading of 221,280 shares through 346 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 8.11 million.
