Kuwait-Mubasher: The credit activity of Kuwait’s banking sector rose by 6% in September on an annual basis, exceeding the credit value of KWD 32.4 billion, according to a report issued by Kuwait Finance House (KFH).
Credit activity granted by banks in Kuwait in September recorded the second highest growth in 2015; however, it is 7.7% lower than the same period of 2014.
KFH noted that personal credit facilities acquired 41.6% of total granted finance, followed by construction and building credit which accounted for 30.7% of gross credit.
Meanwhile, premium-based credit facilities increased 1.9% in September as compared to August.
