Banks, Real estate stocks push up ADX at Wednesday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory.

The ADX’s general index edged up 0.21% to 4,989.38 points.

Trading volume reached 50.42 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 177.53 million, and market capitalisation closed at AED 520.87 million.

The banks and the real estate sectors went up by 0.32% and 0.91%, respectively, while the telecommunication sector slid 0.12% and the energy sector remained stable.

Blue-chip stocks including the heavyweight First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Aldar Properties rose by 0.68% and 1.07%, respectively.
