Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a bearish performance on Tuesday, dragged down by the decline of banks and energy stocks.
The main index sank 0.11% or 5.21 points to reach 4,552.88 points.
Turnover amounted to AED 184.527 million on Tuesday, compared to AED 120.61 million on Monday. Trading volume reached 72.92 million shares, compared to 55.39 million shares.
The banks sector tumbled 0.48% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Commercial Bank International (CBI) fell 0.43% and 9.71%, respectively.
The energy sector slid 0.44% due to a decline in TAQA by 1.67%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector led gainers with a 2.2% rise as Aldar Properties and RAK Properties grew 2.76% and 1.64%, respectively.
Aldar was the value leader after generating AED 49.58 million from the exchange of 22.39 million shares.
