Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait’s indices ended Wednesday in the green, backed by seven rising sectors spearheaded by banks and financial services.
The price index grew 0.62% or 43.83 points and closed at 7,059.61 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices increased 0.98% and 1.04%, respectively.
The banking sector gained 2.55%, as nine stocks were in the green, led by Ithmaar Bank with 9.80%.
The financial services sector levelled up 1.44% as Boubyan Holding led risers, surging 11.1%.
On the other hand, five sectors were down, with industrials falling 0.22%, dragged down by Kuwait Building Materials Manufacturing’s 7.35% drop.
Turnover reached KWD 36.74 million, up from Tuesday’s KWD 25.42 million, while traded volume increased to 413.8 million shares exchanged against 290.29 million in the previous session.
Ithmaar Holding’s stock was the most active in terms of volume with 51.1 million shares traded, whereas Zain, stable at 460 fils, was the value leader with KWD 5.4 million in turnover.
