Banks, services sectors drag Bahrain Bourse down in mid-session

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain’s stock market retreated 0.75% or 8.96 points to settle at 1,188.10 points at 12 pm Bahrain local time.

Turnover stood at about BHD 226,870 as nearly 554,895 shares were exchanged through 24 transactions.

The banks sector led the decliners after losing 1.38%, as AUB and NBB fell by 2.14% and 1.45%, respectively.

However, the services sector declined 0.82%, dragged by Batelco and Seef which dropped 1.27% and 0.99%, respectively.

Similarly, the industrial sector incurred 0.53% losses as Alba levelled down 0.55%.

Meanwhile, the investment sector rose 0.36% as Investcorp gained 3.33%.
