Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, supported by the growth of the telecommunication and banking sectors.
The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up by 1.69 %, or 134.21 points, ending the session at 8,058.39 points.
TASI’s turnover increased to SAR 3.36 billion on Wednesday, from SAR 2.9 billion on Tuesday, while trading volume levelled up to 137.37 million shares, compared to 133.47 million shares in the previous session.
The telecommunication sector topped the bourse’s risers adding 2.8%, followed by the banking and software sectors with 2.2% and 1.9%, respectively.
On the negative side, the consumer durables and apparel sector headed the decliners losing 0.46%.
On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, jumped by 2.6%, or 101.48 points, finishing the session at 3,977.71 points.
