Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The banks and telecommunication stocks have weighed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Monday.
The ADX’s general index closed today’s session 0.23% down at 5,027.62 points, losing 11.50 points.
Trading volume amounted to 42.832 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 129.437 million through 1,567 transactions.
The telecommunication and the banks sectors tumbled 0.49% and 0.30%, respectively, while the real estate and the energy sectors added 0.69% and 0.07% each.
Most of the blue-chip stocks went down, including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) that shed 0.84% to AED 8.25, Taqa which slipped 0.40% to AED 0.74, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) which tumbled 0.40% to AED 4.95.
On the other hand, Aldar Properties rose by 0.91% to AED 2.20, while Dana Gas remained stable at AED 1.01.
