Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index declined at Tuesday’s open by 0.19% or 20.85 points to the level of 10,726.98 points.
Five sectors opened in red topped by the banking sector after falling 0.57%, pressured by a decrease of 2.62% in Commercial Bank of Qatar, the worst performing stock.
The telecom sector dropped 0.34% due to a fall of 0.63% in Vodafone Qatar.
On the other hand, the transportation sector grew 0.35% as Nakilat rose alone by 0.82%, and the insurance sector advanced 0.13% as Qatar General Insurance ascended 0.99%.
Barwa Real Estate led the trading activity with a volume of 474,160 shares exchanged at QAR 16.68 million.
