Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Sunday in negative territory, pressured by the fall of three sectors.
The general index inched down 26.6 points, or 0.3%, to finish at 8,891.89 points.
The bourse’s liquidity decreased 18.7% to QAR 214.26 million on Sunday from QAR 263.43 million on Thursday, while the trading volume went up 2.9% to 11.81 million shares against 11.48 million in the previous session.
The transportation sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 1.3% as Qatar Navigation decreased 1.68%.
Likewise, the banking sector retreated 0.4% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) levelled down 0.71%.
On the positive side, the real estate sector headed the bourse’s three risers adding 0.95%, backed by Ezdan Holding Group which gained 1.4%.
The cinema’s stock topped the QSE’s losers sliding 9.6%, while Aamal Company’s stock headed the market’s gainers with 4.9%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which went down 1.11%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 3.94 million shares, generating QAR 35.51 million in a liquidity.
