Banks boost ADX Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose 5.92 points, or 0.13%, to close at 4,599.22 points on Tuesday, pushed up by the banks sector.

The ADX’s trading volume increased to 59.93 million shares from 59.12 million on Monday, while the market’s liquidity went up to AED 157.5 million, compared to AED 102.75 million in the previous session.

The banks sector added 0.18% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) grew 0.44%, with a turnover of AED 53.06 million.

The industrial sector upped 1.58% after RAK Cement soared 4.35%, while the services sector gained 0.41%, as Julphar surged 5.71%.

Meanwhile, the energy sector inched down 0.08%, as ADNOC Distribution sank 0.75%.
