Banks boost TASI, Nomu gains 45 pts early Monday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawual) started Monday in positive territory for the fifth session in a row, amid a remarkable growth.

By 11:00 am KSA time, Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) added 11.35 points, or 0.14%, to 7,979.8 points.

 TASI’s trading volume hit 46.3 million shares changed hands through 29,500 transactions with a liquidity of SAR 1.07 billion.

The energy, utilities, and banks sectors inched up 0.87%, 0.57%, and 0.36%, respectively.

On the negative side, the transportation sector fell 0.54%, followed by materials with 0.18%, and telecommunication services with 0.1%, whereas pharmaceuticals remained unchanged.

Saudi Cables Co.’s stock rose 3.26% to SAR 10.14%, whereas Arabian Cement’s stock was the worst performer with 3.26%, registering SAR 32.60.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, jumped 44.92 points, or 1.54%, to 2,967.47 points.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock gained 4.13% to SAR 12.
