Banks drag down Saudi indices at Thursday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Thursday’s trading session with negative performance, for the second session in a row, pressured by the banking sector.

TASI decreased by 66.56 points, or 0.74%, to finish the last session in the week at 8,869.70 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 307.05 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 219.16 million.

The software and services sector topped the decliners and fell 3.66%, followed by the retailing and banking sectors with 1.53% and 1.27%, respectively.

On the other hand, the pharma, the biotech and life science sector headed the risers with 0.94%, followed by the media sector with 0.7%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, went up 72.81 points, or 2.02%, to finish the session at 3,681.39 points.
