Banks help Bahrain Bourse rise

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse levelled up 0.08% or 1.02 points to close at 1,199.25 points on Sunday.

The investment sector topped the gainers by adding 0.32% as Bahrain Commercial Facilities rose 6.06%.

The Banks sector also grew 0.31%, backed by Bahrain Islamic Bank which gained 8.9%.

Today’s turnover decreased to about BHD 375,000 as trading volume declined to 1.10 million shares.

Ithmaa Bank was the most active stock as nearly 375,000 shares were traded with a value of around BHD 54,370 generated from four transactions. The stock rose 7.4%.

NBB recorded the highest liquidity of about BHD 142,160 with trading volume of approximately 209,030 shares traded through 11 deals. The stock inched up 0.73%.
